PRESS RELEASE – (January 30, 2012) The Asofsky Family Foundation has made a lead gift of $150,000 to support The Palm Beach School for Autism’s “One Piece at a Time” Capital Campaign. The Asofsky Family Foundation has chosen to name the preschool program In Honor of Claire and Hy Rappaport.
“We are pleased to continue our support for The Palm Beach School for Autism and the great work the School does in educating children with autism,” said Mark Asofsky, Asofsky Family Foundation President. “We look forward to visiting the new school facilities once they are finished in Fall 2012.”
The “One Piece at a Time” Capital Campaign is to help build a brand-new 22,500-square-foot school with a capacity for more than 200 students in preschool, elementary and middle school programs serving students with autism spectrum disorder in Palm Beach, Broward and Martin Counties. This project will provide The Palm Beach School for Autism with the opportunity to have all of its programs and facilities under one roof; something that is not physically capable at its current location. A high school program is slated to begin enrollment in 2014.
