Palm Beach School for Autism Student takes 2nd Place at South Florida Fair
Sam Restrepo, a middle school student at Palm Beach School for Autism created a painting for the Washington , DC themed exhibit at the South Florida Fair. “The school, which recently opened a new building on Lantana Road, does not have a formal visual art program. There is, however, some tremendous talent and teachers who are willing to cover all subjects. Because of this support, Sam was able to create his acrylic painting on newspaper of Lincoln looking at Washington, DC on a map which was awarded 2nd place from the South Florida Fair,” said Ann Levene-Eisenberg, Executive Director at Palm Beach School for Autism. The exhibit is set up annually through PBCATA (Palm Beach County Art Teacher’s Association) and it was Palm Beach School for Autism’s first year participating.
