Nicole DeFlorio joined Palm Beach School for Autism as the Director of Transition Services in 2015. She has more than 20 years of experience working with students with disabilities, their families, school administrators and staff. Nicole has received extensive training in transition regulation compliance, job development and job coaching. Her specialty is developing and implementing community-based and on-campus work experience training programs for students as well as providing resources and guidance to parents and staff. Nicole advises parents on issues such as transfer of rights, guardianship, community-based recreational and supportive work programs and much more. Additionally, Nicole is on the board of Sea Turtle Adventures, a local environmental nonprofit, and a Member-At-Large Board Member of the Florida Division of Career Development and Transition. Outside of her professional role, Nicole is a single mother who enjoys spending time with her son, is an environmental advocate, and loves to read and exercise.
